Here at the Connected Athlete, we are passionate about helping parents, athletes, and coaches understand the sporting world they are in.
We provide information and support in many areas and in different ways to help you make the most informed decisions about youth training and development and most importantly, the role of strength and conditioning for young athletes.
Youth athlete development is a unique area of strength and conditioning, and it is important that parents, athletes, and coaches get the best advice to ensure the athlete trains safely and effectively in the gym.
Join TCA and get regular information and the latest science for youth athlete development. We also have mentoring and TCA coach memberships for those athletes wanting more support.
Over the last 20 years, I have worked as a High Performance Manager, Sports Scientist, Exercise Physiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach. I have a Masters in Strength and Conditioning and have worked with individual and team athletes at all levels of athlete development.
My passion is working with youth athletes of all abilities, focusing on educating them about how to train safely and effectively, and teaching them the attributes required to reach their training goals and have a positive growth mindset.
Over the years, nearly every parent I have spoken to has asked me questions about their young athletes training, especially when they have been asked or advised to start a strength and conditioning program. As a parent, you may not fully understand what it is or whether it will be safe for your young athlete.
Here at TCA, we want to give you the tools and resources to help you make more informed and confident decisions about your young athlete's training, and strength and conditioning journey.
